Location

Bataan is located in west Luzon between Manila Bay and the South China Sea. Bataan is divided into two by a pass that separates the northern and the southern mountains. On the eastern side, there is a narrow coastal plain having some lovely beaches. Balanga City, the provincial capital of Bataan, is about 125 km from Manila and can easily be reached by ferryboats across the bay from Manila.

Dambana ng Kagitingan: Situated atop Mt. Samat in Pilar town, it's a giant bell built in loving memory of the soldiers, who died while defending their motherland against aggressive Japanese invasion during World War II, including those who perished during the infamous Death March in 1942.

World War II Markers: Bataan was an important historical site of World War II. The region saw an aggressive Japanese invasion and Filipino-American troops defense until the tragic Fall of Bataan in April 1942. There are a many important historical sites, known as markers, related to memories of World War II.

The First Line of Defense Marker in Layac, General King Marker in Lamao, Surrender Site Marker in Balanga and Zero Death March Markers in Bagac and Mariveles are must visit on your Bataan Tour.

Philippine-Japanese Friendship Tower: Situated in Bagac, The Tower is the symbol of friendship and peace between Philippine and Japan, after a dreadful World War II.

Sibul Spring: Located in Sibucay, the Sibul Spring is a beautiful natural spring with medicinal properties. Its sulfuric water is believed to cure the muscle pain. There is also a large swimming pool and ample space for outdoor recreations.

Dinalupihan Nature Center: Covered with lush green virgin forests, it's an ideal tourist spot for picnics and camping in Dinalupihan. It offers an exciting range of recreations including game hunting, hiking and trekking, to its visitors.

Other not to be missed tourist attractions in Bataan include the Pasukulan Falls, Dunsulan Falls, Pilar Flaming Sword, Maria Canon Statue, the 15th century Santo Domingo Abucay Church, Tomas Pinpin Monument among many others.
